The Carplounge Autopilot, in combination with the Raymarine Element App for RT7 & RT4 V4, revolutionizes the way you control your BaitBoat. Unlike traditional remote controls, this advanced system utilizes an Android tablet or smartphone, offering a modern and intuitive interface. The free software is available on the Google Play Store and works seamlessly on any Android device equipped with Bluetooth connectivity. By pairing the tablet with the boat via a dedicated transmitter box, you gain full touchscreen control over your vessel.
In manual mode, the BaitBoat operates like a conventional remote-controlled boat, allowing you to steer directly from the tablet's screen. Real-time positioning, route tracking, and compass orientation are displayed on an integrated map, continuously updating as the boat moves. With built-in GPS functionality, users can mark and name key fishing locations—such as “jetty left,” “spot 1,” or “home”—based on sonar readings from the echo sounder.
Advanced Autopilot Features
Switching to autopilot mode unlocks powerful automation capabilities. Users can select saved waypoints and combine them into custom routes, each with specific onboard actions such as opening hoppers, releasing bait, or activating lights. For example:
- 1.) Navigate to "Sandbank," open the right hopper upon arrival
- 2.) Proceed to "Spot 2," open the left hopper once there
- 3.) Return to the starting point and signal completion with a light blink
Once programmed, the boat autonomously follows the designated route. Thanks to precise measurement technologies—including GPS, compass, acceleration sensors, and position tracking—the system delivers highly accurate navigation, achieving up to 90% accuracy within a 30cm margin.
Smart Line Tension Management
One of the standout features of the Carplounge Autopilot is its intelligent line tensioning system. When deploying multiple rods simultaneously to different spots, the onboard electronics detect line tension changes and adjust steering accordingly. This ensures the boat maintains a direct course toward the target without unnecessary drifting or turning, preventing tangled lines and improving casting efficiency.
Flexible Control Options
While the Carplounge Autopilot replaces the standard remote control, we also provide compatibility with traditional remotes. This dual-control setup allows you to choose between operating the boat via your tablet or the physical remote. All Android tablets with Bluetooth support can be used, although our app is currently optimized for 10-inch devices for the best user experience.
Continuous Software Improvements
As part of our ongoing development efforts, the Carplounge Autopilot app receives regular updates via the Google Play Store. These updates ensure that new features, improvements, and bug fixes are delivered directly to your device without the need to return the hardware. Just like standard Android apps, the software upgrades automatically, keeping your system current and efficient.
Compatibility
This system is designed exclusively for use with the [ttpp] and [yyxx]. Ensure your equipment matches these specifications for optimal performance and integration.
