MAME4droid, developed by David Valdeita (Seleuco), is a port of the renowned MAME 0.139 emulator originally created by Nicola Salmoria and the MAME team. This emulator is designed for Android devices and supports over 8000 arcade games that are compatible with the MAME 0.139u1 version. It's important to note that MAME4droid is strictly an emulator and does not come with any ROMs or copyrighted materials.

This version of MAME4droid is optimized for dual-core Android devices, reflecting the higher specifications required compared to older versions. Users should be aware that even with high-end devices, not all "modern" arcade games from the 90s and later will run at full speed or with complete compatibility. Games such as Outrun and the Mortal Kombat series, for instance, may require at least a 1.5GHz dual-core device due to their demanding nature.
