Quickfire Rules:
After dealing the cards evenly among four players, each player bids by choosing either a high (black card) or low (red card). Bids are revealed starting left of the dealer. The first black card turned over signifies a 'high' round where teams aim to win as many tricks as possible. If all bids are red, the round is 'low,' and teams strive to win as few tricks as possible.
In a high bid round, the player to the right of the 'grander' leads the first trick. In a low bid round, the player to the left of the dealer starts. Players must follow suit if possible; otherwise, they can play any card. The highest card in the led suit wins the trick, and the winner leads the next trick.
Scoring occurs at the end of each round. In high bid rounds, the granding team scores one point for each trick over six. If they fail to reach seven tricks, the opposing team scores one or two points per trick over six, depending on the 'set bonus' setting. In low bid rounds, teams score one point for each trick under seven.
