With the weekend just over, you might think Monday mornings are slow for news. However, the past two days have been packed with announcements from various showcases, including the upcoming creature-collecting ARPG Aniimo from Pawprint Studios, introduced with a stunning trailer.

Revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase 2025 and published by FunPlus's new label Kingsglory, Aniimo invites you into the enchanted world of Idyll, home to the titular creatures. You won't just collect them—you'll merge with and play as them, using each Aniimo's distinct abilities to navigate the world and discover hidden secrets.

Aniimo is scheduled for release in 2026, with a closed beta announced for later this summer. Fans eager for updates on Aniimo and the beta can register on the official Aniimo website.

The ability to merge with your Aniimo, known as Twining, is central to the gameplay highlighted in the trailer. This introduces a fresh take on the creature collection genre, which has seen numerous entries in recent years. Aniimo also boasts strong backing and remarkably impressive visuals.
