"Avatar: Seven Havens Announced, Post-Legend of Korra"

Get ready, Avatar fans! Nickelodeon and Avatar Studios have officially announced an exciting new addition to the beloved franchise with the upcoming series, Avatar: Seven Havens. This announcement comes as part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Avatar: The Last Airbender. The series is brought to us by the original creators, Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, who are eager to expand the Avatar universe with this fresh narrative.

Avatar: Seven Havens will be a 26-episode, 2D animated adventure, centered around a young Earthbender who discovers her destiny as the next Avatar following Korra. Set in a world torn apart by a cataclysmic event, this new Avatar finds herself in a perilous position. Rather than being seen as a savior, she is marked as humanity's destroyer. Pursued by both human and spirit foes, she must embark on a quest with her long-lost twin to unravel their enigmatic past and safeguard the Seven Havens, the last bastions of civilization.

In their statement, Konietzko and DiMartino shared their excitement about this new chapter in the Avatarverse, stating, “When we created the original series, we never imagined we’d still be expanding the world decades later. This new incarnation of the Avatarverse is full of fantasy, mystery, and a whole new cast of amazing characters.”

The series will be structured into two seasons, each consisting of 13 episodes, titled Book 1 and Book 2. Alongside DiMartino and Konietzko, the series will be co-created and executive produced by Ethan Spaulding and Sehaj Sethi. While the cast for Avatar: Seven Havens has yet to be revealed, anticipation is already building.

This new series marks the first mainline TV project from Avatar Studios, who are also working on a full-length animated feature set to hit theaters on January 30, 2026. This movie will follow a grown-up Aang on a new adventure, promising to be another exciting addition to the Avatar saga.

As part of the 20th anniversary festivities, Avatar Studios is also launching an array of new content, including books, comics, concerts, toys, and a game on Roblox, ensuring fans have plenty of ways to celebrate this milestone.
