DC Launches All-Star Superman as Full-Cast Audiobook

All-Star Superman is frequently hailed as one of the greatest Superman comics ever, featuring prominently on many top lists, including IGN's Top 25. Now, fans can immerse themselves in this iconic tale through a new medium: a full-cast audiobook. DC and Penguin Random House are collaborating to bring All-Star Superman to life in audio form, ensuring fans experience the story in a fresh and engaging way.

The adaptation is being crafted by Meghan Fitzmartin, based on the original work by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely. Quitely has contributed a new illustration for the audiobook's cover, which you can see below:

Set in a standalone universe, All-Star Superman follows Superman as he confronts his mortality after a near-fatal encounter with the sun. The narrative unfolds with Kal-El revealing his secret identity to Lois Lane and embarking on a series of heroic challenges reminiscent of the 12 Labors of Hercules. The story culminates in a final confrontation with his arch-nemesis, Lex Luthor.

The All-Star Superman audiobook is set to release on June 24, 2025, just one month before the theatrical release of James Gunn's Superman film.
