Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has been rated for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, despite no official announcement confirming its release on the new console. Although we don't have a direct confirmation that the game, inspired by Akira Toriyama's beloved anime and manga series, will be available on the Switch 2, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation, as reported by the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, suggests otherwise.
"Experience the fighting action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring 3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices," the tweet stated before its removal, confirming that it had been rated 12+.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero elevates the legendary gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series to new heights, featuring an impressive roster of playable characters, each equipped with unique abilities, transformations, and techniques.
In our IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review, we rated it a 7/10, noting: "Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a final flash from the past, sometimes to a fault, but the feeling of traveling back to a simpler time when games didn’t have to be balanced or competitive to be fun is still a good one."
Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders became available on April 24, with the console priced at $449.99. As expected, the pre-orders sold out quickly. On the same day, Nintendo issued a warning to U.S. customers who pre-ordered through the My Nintendo Store, stating that release date delivery could not be guaranteed due to overwhelming demand.
