EA Launches Playtest for The Sims Spinoff, City Life Game with Friends

Electronic Arts, commonly known as EA, is currently conducting a playtest for their new mobile game, City Life Game with Friends, on Android devices. This playtest is a part of EA's ambitious project, The Sims Project Rene. Through this limited-time playtest, EA aims to collect valuable feedback on the game's performance and player interactions, helping them refine and perfect the gaming experience.

Where Is the City Life Game with Friends Playtest Available?

The City Life Game with Friends playtest is exclusively available for Android users. To participate, your device must be running at least Android 12 and have a minimum of 4GB of RAM. However, access to the playtest is not open to everyone and is limited to specific regions.

The playtest will run until April 4th, 2025, with varying end times based on your location: 7 PM UTC, 6 AM AEST in Australia, and 3 AM PHT in the Philippines. Once the playtest concludes, the game will no longer be accessible, and participants will need to uninstall it from their devices.

It's important to note that this playtest does not represent the final version of the game. Instead, it offers a glimpse into the potential direction EA is exploring with The Sims Project Rene. The playtest suggests that EA is experimenting with a variety of innovative concepts.

What’s in Store?

Participants in the playtest will have the opportunity to craft a unique character that reflects their personal style and mood. The game's vibrant neighborhood offers a plethora of activities to engage in, from browsing the Thrift Shop for new outfits to relaxing at the Café or contributing to community events.

Players can collaborate with others to organize block parties, make wishes at the plaza fountain, and search for hidden collectibles. The game emphasizes social interaction and community building, encouraging players to connect over shared interests in art, music, and engaging conversations.

If you're interested in joining the playtest, you can find it on the Google Play Store, provided you are located in one of the designated playtest regions.
