Marvel Rivals Season 1: A Double-Sized Launch Featuring the Fantastic Four

Marvel Rivals' Season 1, titled "Eternal Night Falls," is set to launch on January 10th at 1 AM PST, boasting double the content of a typical season. This unprecedented expansion is attributed to the developers' decision to introduce the Fantastic Four as a unified group.

This supersized season will include:

• Three new maps: The Sanctum Sanctorum (available at launch, for the new Doom Match mode), Midtown (for Convoy missions), and Central Park (details to be revealed later).
• The Fantastic Four: Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and Invisible Woman (Strategist) debut with the season launch, while The Thing and Human Torch are slated for a mid-season update approximately six to seven weeks later.

The increased content volume, confirmed by Creative Director Guangyun Chen, signifies a departure from the usual three-month season cycle. While the impact on future seasons remains unclear, the current plan appears to be the addition of two characters per season.

Despite the excitement surrounding Season 1, the absence of Blade from the initial roster has disappointed some fans. However, the possibility of his future inclusion remains open. With a wealth of new content and ongoing speculation, Marvel Rivals continues to generate considerable anticipation.
