Leslie Benzies, the mastermind behind Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption, unveils his latest creation, MindsEye, with a fresh look at the PlayStation State of Play.
A new trailer showcases MindsEye as a cutting-edge spy thriller bearing a striking resemblance to Grand Theft Auto. Expect thrilling third-person gunfights, stunning cinematic sequences, and intense drive-by shootings. View the cinematic trailer below.
Official press materials reveal that MindsEye centers on Jacob Diaz, whose neural implant, the MindsEye, has fractured his memories, leaving him with fragmented flashbacks of his military service. His quest to uncover the truth about his past leads him into conflict with an AI-powered military force.
MindsEye has been in development for several years. Following his departure from Rockstar Games, Benzies established Build a Rocket Boy and collaborated with IO Interactive (Hitman developers) on this project. Described as a AAA action-adventure title, MindsEye will also integrate the Everywhere platform, previously likened to a "high-budget Roblox" following a studio visit in 2024.
While the new trailer omits mention of Everywhere, MindsEye promises an exhilarating action experience from a gaming legend. Anticipate its release sometime in the summer of 2025.
