Begin by progressing through Kanya's fishing questline, which involves completing several side quests by gathering specific items:

• Seeking the Goldenfish: Head to the Scarlet Forest in Area 6, where you can catch the Goldenfish in cave water pools. Use either the Golden Bughead or Common Wood Minnow baits, and aim for the Fallow weather condition to increase your chances of a spawn.
• Fishing for Favor: Next, catch the Gravid Bowfin at the Scarlet Forest base camp during the Plenty weather condition. Use the Emerald Jitterbait to lure it in.
• The Catch of a Lifetime!: For this quest, you need to catch a large fish, such as a Tuna, that triggers the reeling minigame. Visit the lake in Area 17 of the Scarlet Forest and patiently reel in your catch.
