Here’s What the Gameplay Is Like

Once Human is an immersive multiplayer open-world survival game. The narrative kicks off in a world turned chaotic by an alien substance known as Stardust, which has contaminated the air, water, wildlife, and human population.

As one of the few survivors, you're a Meta-Human, tasked with navigating the vast 256 square kilometers of the altered continent of Nalcott (Nekot). You'll encounter diverse and challenging environments, from icy tundras and erupting volcanoes to treacherous swamps and possibly illusory desert oases. Your survival strategy can involve farming, hunting, or engaging in combat, depending on your preference.

Your adversaries include zombies—corrupted humans—and bizarre dimensional bosses altered by Stardust. Be cautious, as Stardust can also contaminate your food and water sources. Consuming tainted resources can lead to a decrease in your maximum HP and affect your sanity.

The game's crafting system offers access to around 100 gun blueprints, spanning seven different categories. You can enhance your arsenal with various accessories, perks, and upgrades.

A significant feature is territory building, where you use your Territory Core to establish a base anywhere on the map. Whether you opt for a simple survival room or an expansive apocalypse mansion complete with a kitchen, patio, and garage, the choice is yours.
