NetEase's post-apocalyptic shooter, Once Human, is gearing up for its much-anticipated mobile launch with the initiation of its first cross-play test. This closed beta test is pivotal as it will allow players to experience the seamless cross-progression system that will be in place when the game officially hits mobile devices in April.

In Once Human, players find themselves navigating a world shattered by a supernatural apocalypse. The game challenges you to unite with other survivors, explore the ravaged landscape, and work towards rebuilding society while combating the otherworldly creatures that now dominate the earth. Be warned, though; in such desperate times, even your fellow survivors might pose a threat.

The excitement surrounding Once Human stems from its combination of stunning graphics and a thrilling mix of horror and fast-paced shooting action. While the game has undergone several beta tests on PC, this cross-play test marks a significant step forward, especially for mobile gamers. Cross-progression is expected to be a game-changer, enabling players to effortlessly switch between devices without losing progress.

The cross-play test is scheduled to run until March 30th, and sign-ups are still open for those eager to participate. Although Once Human might not have captured the PC gaming community as strongly as NetEase's other title, Marvel Rivals, it promises to be a perfect fit for mobile gamers with its stylish shooter mechanics.

As we eagerly await the full release of Once Human, why not dive into Stephen's recent review of Dredge by Black Salt Games? This unique blend of fishing simulation and horror, infused with Lovecraftian elements, mirrors the thrilling experience Once Human aims to deliver and comes highly recommended.
