Karrablast, Shelmet Featured in Pokémon Go February Community Day

Get ready, Pokémon Go enthusiasts! The February 2025 Community Day is just around the corner, set to dazzle players on February 9th from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event promises an exciting spotlight on two unique Pokémon: Karrablast and Shelmet.

Who Are the New Pokémon in the Pokémon Go February Community Day?

Karrablast and Shelmet are the stars of this event, appearing more frequently in the wild. This is your chance to catch them and possibly snag their Shiny variants. The highlight of evolving these Pokémon during the event (or up until February 16th at 10:00 p.m. local time) is truly rewarding. Evolving Karrablast will grant you an Escavalier equipped with the Charged Attack Razor Shell, which delivers 35 power in Trainer Battles and a whopping 55 power in Gyms and Raids. On the other hand, evolving Shelmet during the same timeframe will give you an Accelgor with the Charged Attack Energy Ball, boasting 90 power in both Trainer Battles and Gyms and Raids.

Participating in the Special Research during the event will reward you with encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet, featuring unique Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds. You'll also receive a Premium Battle Pass and a Rare Candy XL. Following the main event, a week-long Timed Research will be available, providing additional opportunities to encounter these Pokémon with the special backgrounds by simply logging in during Community Day.

Don’t Forget the Bonuses

The February Community Day is packed with enticing bonuses. You’ll earn 3× XP for catching Pokémon, double the usual Candy, and for Trainers level 31 and up, a 2× chance to get Candy XL from catches. Lure Modules and Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will last for three hours, and there's a special surprise for those who take photos during the event. Make sure to download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store to join in on the fun.
