Adding to the intrigue, Tetsuya Nomura, Kingdom Hearts co-creator and director, recently commemorated the 15th anniversary of Birth By Sleep (2010). His social media post highlighted the game's use of "crossroads," pivotal moments of divergence. Nomura's comments specifically alluded to the final scene in Kingdom Hearts 3, where the Lost Masters convene. The revelation of Xigbar's true identity as Luxu, a long-hidden Keyblade master, sets the stage. Nomura hinted at a crucial exchange – the Lost Masters' loss and subsequent gain – echoing the American folklore motif of crossroads, a recurring theme in the series.
