Crystal Dynamics and Lost in Cult Announce New Legacy of Kain Projects

Crystal Dynamics, in collaboration with Lost in Cult and Cook and Becker, has announced two exciting additions to the Legacy of Kain universe: The Book of Nosgoth encyclopedia and Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG). These projects follow the December 2024 release of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered.

The Book of Nosgoth: A Comprehensive Encyclopedia

Written by Nic Reuben of Rock Paper Shotgun, The Book of Nosgoth offers a deep dive into the world of Nosgoth. This official encyclopedia details locations, factions, characters, and a comprehensive timeline of the Kain and Raziel saga. Beyond the lore, it includes behind-the-scenes content such as concept art, sketches, maps, and developer interviews, providing a complete history of the five Legacy of Kain games.

Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan – A New TTRPG Experience

Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan, utilizing the MÖRK BORG ruleset, transports players to Nosgoth during the Sarafan Order's war against vampires. This mechanics-light TTRPG lets players take on the roles of Sarafan warrior priests, engaging in vampire hunts, uncovering Nosgoth's secrets, and venturing into the spectral realm. The game features six playable classes, unique weapons and spells, a bestiary of creatures, and the entire Nosgoth landscape as a backdrop for player-driven narratives.
