Marvel Rivals Celebrates Spring Festival

Marvel Rivals is launching a major Spring Festival event this Thursday! Players can snag a free Star-Lord costume and dive into a brand-new game mode: Clash of Dancing Lions. This 3v3 mode challenges teams to score a ball in their opponents' net.

While the gameplay might evoke comparisons to Rocket League, it bears a closer resemblance to Overwatch's Lucioball – a similarly themed mode. This comparison is noteworthy, as Marvel Rivals is currently aiming to differentiate itself from Overwatch and establish a unique identity. The introduction of a mode reminiscent of Overwatch's inaugural event is therefore interesting, though the Marvel Rivals version boasts a distinct Chinese New Year theme, unlike the Olympic Games theme of Lucioball.
