Neon Spellstorm, Roguelite Bullet Heaven, Opens Pre-Reg

Neon Spellstorm, an upcoming action title from TopCog, is now available for pre-registration. This roguelite bullet heaven adventure embraces the same wizard-centric universe as the studio’s earlier hits, including the Tap Wizard series and WizUp.

Dash forward on a neon-lit road

Players sprint along a neon pathway that disintegrates behind them as they unleash spells in all directions. You take on the role of a wizard navigating a low-tech cyberpunk realm, rich with pixel art visuals and glitch-inspired aesthetics.

The game includes 28 unique spells to experiment with, allowing you to combine effects such as echo, havoc, behemoth, and aftershock. By chaining different spells, you can amplify their power. Additionally, 74 trinkets are available to craft unexpected and powerful loadouts.

Each playthrough brings a fresh mix of spells and trinkets, ensuring no two runs feel the same. Along the way, gather Orbs, Stars, Gems, and Neon to exchange at the Neon Core for new spells and upgrades.

Neon Spellstorm blends 2.5D mixed media, merging 2D sprites and low-poly 3D models for a standout hybrid visual style. Check out the game in action here.

Before each run, customize your wizard by selecting one of six distinct characters. Tailor your approach by picking spells, fates, archetypes, and sigils that fit your tactics. Once the run begins, you decide your route and how to navigate the map.

Pre-Register Neon Spellstorm Now on Android

Pre-registration is open on the Google Play Store. Upon release, a free demo will be available, with a one-time purchase to unlock the full game. The expected mobile launch is set for August 11, 2025.

Developers have cited multiple acclaimed games as inspirations, including Hades, Bastion, Risk of Rain 2, Slay the Spire, and TopCog’s own Tap Wizard 2. Early impressions hint at a bright future for this vibrant magical shooter.
