Before You Get a Mount

Before you dream of galloping across the landscapes of *Rune Slayer*, there are two prerequisites you need to meet:

• Be level 20: Reaching level 20 is achievable in just a few hours—typically 5 to 6. You can expedite this process by teaming up with friends. Keep engaging in Quests, Jobs, and slaying mobs to level up swiftly.
• Have a tamed Pet: The game will introduce you to pet taming through a quest. Here's a quick rundown on how to tame a pet:
  • Find an animal you want to tame, such as a Deer, Wolf, or Spider.
  • Attack it once.
  • Hold a food item that the animal favors (Deers enjoy Apples, and Wolves prefer Raw Deer Meat).
  • A heart will appear above the animal's head, indicating the taming attempt.
  • If the heart grows fully, the animal will collapse and become your pet.
  • If the heart turns black, the taming has failed, but don't be discouraged; just try again with another animal.

Once you've secured both your pet and reached level 20, you're ready for the next step.

Finish the Mount Quest

Upon reaching level 20, head to **Jimmy the Stable Master** in Wayshire. He'll have a quest for you titled "Jimmy's Delivery," requiring you to deliver a package to the Stable Master in Ashenshire. Accept the quest and proceed north through Wayshire's northern entrance. Follow the road and ascend the hill leading to **Greatwood Forest**. Be cautious of the challenging mobs in this area and continue north until you reach **Ashenshire**, which you'll recognize by the large houses perched on treetops.

Locate a rope that allows you to ascend and interact with it to start climbing. Once at the top, the first NPC you encounter will be **Madonna the Stable Master**. There won't be a quest marker, so initiate a conversation and select the option "I have a package for you." After delivering the package, return to Wayshire by heading south from Ashenshire.

Back at Wayshire, speak with **Jimmy the Stable Master** again, who will be marked with an exclamation point. He'll reward you with a **Saddle**, which won't appear in your inventory to prevent accidental loss or sale.

How to Mount Your Pet in Rune Slayer

With the saddle in hand, **summon your pet by holding "T"**. Approach your pet, and you'll see a "Mount" option. Press "E" to mount your pet. This method applies to all mountable pets in *Rune Slayer*.
