Sony and HBO have announced that The Last of Us has been renewed for a third season. While no release date has been set, production is scheduled to start this summer. It's important to note that this renewal does not indicate the development of a third Last of Us game; Naughty Dog is currently focused on their upcoming project, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
