New Need For Speed won't come out in the nearest future

EA's VP Vince Zampella provided an update on the future of the Need for Speed franchise. With NFS Unbound released over two years ago and no subsequent announcements, Zampella explained that Criterion Games is fully committed to the development of the next Battlefield title.

EA's current priority is this new Battlefield game, a project involving four studios and incorporating significant player feedback to avoid repeating the issues encountered with Battlefield 2042. This player-centric approach extends to future Need for Speed content as well.
