Reaching the Garbage zone in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl requires progressing the main storyline. While you can explore the area early, the main quest will eventually guide you to the Slag Heap, a key hub within the Garbage zone. This typically happens after completing the "Answers Come at a Price" quest and visiting the Detention Center and Laboratory before encountering Scar. The Slag Heap is located north of the laboratory.

Two traders operate within the Slag Heap:

  • Boozer: Situated at the entrance, Boozer offers food and drinks, but also accepts a wide variety of items for sale. He's hard to miss.

  • Huron: Found by heading left and entering the open door on your right, Huron specializes in weapons and equipment. His room also serves as your stash location within the Slag Heap, allowing you to store extra items. Interacting with Huron can also initiate a side quest.

While not a trader, a Tech is located at the back of the left corridor. You'll encounter him as part of the main quest progression, needing to speak with Diode.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is currently available on Xbox and PC.
