Starship Traveller: First Sci-Fi Adventure in Fighting Fantasy Classics Series Added

Ever felt lost in the vast expanse of space with no way back home? That's your mission in Starship Traveller, the first-ever sci-fi adventure from the iconic Fighting Fantasy series, penned by Steve Jackson and originally published in 1984. Now, this classic has been revitalized and is the latest addition to the Fighting Fantasy Classics, freshly landed on Android devices. The Fighting Fantasy Classics app, developed by Tin Man Games, serves as a digital library, bringing together gamebooks from the original 1980s editions to the latest releases.

Choose Your Own Adventure or Just Choose This Retro Sci-Fi

Imagine being the captain of the Starship Traveller. Your journey takes a dramatic turn when you're pulled into the mysterious Seltsian Void, stranding you in an uncharted galaxy with no clue on how to return to Earth. Your only recourse? To explore unknown planets and engage in diplomacy (or the lack thereof) with alien civilizations. Every decision you make could be the difference between safe passage and the annihilation of your crew in intense deep-space battles.

Tin Man Games has enhanced the gameplay with their Gamebook Adventures Engine, making the experience more interactive. A comprehensive crew management system allows you to assemble a team of up to seven members. The artwork, revamped by Simon Lissaman, brings a fresh perspective to the game. You can also adjust the difficulty settings or opt for the 'Free Read' mode to simply enjoy the narrative. Dive into this new release by downloading Fighting Fantasy Classics from the Google Play Store.

More Coming Up Right After Starship Traveller

Just around six weeks away, Fighting Fantasy Classics will introduce another gem, Eye of the Dragon. Written by Ian Livingston, this gamebook invites players to navigate a perilous labyrinth, confront monstrous foes, evade cunning traps, and pursue the legendary gem known as the Eye of the Dragon.

That wraps up our update on this thrilling gamebook. Stay tuned for our next feature on Delicious: The First Course, the latest installment in the Delicious series, where you'll get a glimpse into Emily's life before her culinary adventures began.
