Developer Shift Up has officially announced that a full-fledged sequel to Stellar Blade is in the works.
The action title, published by PlayStation, was met with a positive reception upon its release in April 2024, with many players praising its blend of gameplay elements reminiscent of NieR: Automata and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
The confirmation came via a chart included in Shift Up's latest financial results, outlining the Korean company's future roadmap.
A presentation slide detailing Shift Up's franchise expansion strategy lists a Stellar Blade sequel as the next major release, with several other projects scheduled to launch before 2027.
Prior to the sequel's release, the roadmap mentions a "platform expansion" for Stellar Blade, most likely referring to the previously announced PC version set to arrive on June 11, 2025.
The same development period, leading up to 2027, will also see the debut of Shift Up's mysterious Project Witches, a new multiplatform action-RPG that has yet to be fully unveiled.

Earlier this week, Shift Up stated it was in active discussions with Sony regarding a mysterious PC region lock issue that had prevented the game's Steam store page from being visible in over 100 countries.
In its Stellar Blade review, IGN described the game as "a gorgeous and well-crafted action title with impressive strengths and clear shortcomings."
"While its narrative and characters lack depth, and certain RPG elements—such as repetitive side quests that often require backtracking through familiar areas with little variation—feel underdeveloped,
"the exceptional combat system, inspired by Sekiro, carries the experience. It offers a diverse roster of monstrous enemies to battle and plenty of hidden rewards that meaningfully encourage thorough exploration."
