Torchlight: Infinite is set to unveil its thrilling Season 8: Sandlord on April 17th, promising a substantial transformation to the ARPG experience. This season introduces the Cloud Oasis, a novel gameplay feature centered around economic mechanics. Players will engage in trading resources, managing workers, and overseeing production lines to establish their aerial strongholds.
Thea, a familiar face, returns with an intriguing twist. Her new trait, Blasphemer, shifts her from divine powers to a curse known as Desecration. Starting off modestly, this curse grows in potency, amplifying Erosion damage inversely with her remaining blessing power. Players can optimize this into area-of-effect explosions or health-scaling effects, ideal for enthusiasts of damage-over-time and synergy-focused builds.
Endgame content in Torchlight: Infinite has undergone a major overhaul, with Deep Space being completely revamped. This includes five new stages, expanded maps, and more challenging enemies. A new feature, Probes, allows players to adjust the level of risk and potential reward, offering the chance to obtain better loot, including Compass chests through the Compass Probe system.
The update also brings a Blending System for belt crafting, enabling the fusion of Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into a single item slot, enhancing build customization. Additionally, a new boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, joins the fray on the Plane Watcher and the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown.
Celebrating this update, the Sands of Fortune anniversary event will run from April 17th to May 1st. Players can complete tasks, earn Gold Rush Attempts, and compete for a share of a $250,000 prize pool.
