Drug Dealer Simulator Schedule I continues to captivate the gaming community with its remarkable success on Steam, and now it's gearing up with its first significant post-launch update. Developer Tyler has released version 0.3.4 for testing on the beta branch, which can be accessed through the game's Steam page. Tyler mentioned that the beta will be available for a couple of days before the full release, encouraging players to opt into the beta to test the new features.

"This beta doesn't encompass all the features that will be in the full release," Tyler noted. "I plan to add more decorative objects on April 8. The urgency to launch this beta was driven by the need to test the new wall-mounted objects and the pawn shop interface thoroughly."

Schedule I version 0.3.4 patch notes:

Additions

  • Added Bleuballs Boutique interior and functionality.
  • Added Pawn Shop interior and functionality. Players can now sell almost anything (excluding product) to Mick at the pawn shop.
  • Added wooden sign.
  • Added metal sign.
  • Added wall-mounted shelf.
  • Added safe.
  • Added antique wall lamp.
  • Added modern wall lamp.
  • Added grandfather clock.
  • Added Ol' Man Jimmy's.
  • Added Château La Peepee.
  • Added Brut du Gloop.
  • Added silver watch.
  • Added gold watch.
  • Added silver chain.
  • Added gold chain.
  • Added gold bar.

Tweaks/Improvements

  • Improved phrasing for customer recommendation dialogue.
  • Added extra null checks and validity checks.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed delivery destination dropdown overflowing outside of phone screen.
  • Fixed player lists sometimes not clearing properly when exiting to menu.
  • Fixed non-host clients sometimes not receiving 'on day pass' and 'on week pass' events.

Upon its launch, Schedule I topped Steam's sales charts, outpacing major titles like Monster Hunter Wilds, GTA 5, and Marvel Rivals, thanks to its viral spread across social media, Twitch, and YouTube. In the game, players start as small-time dealers in the gritty city of Hyland Point and work their way up to becoming drug kingpins, managing drug production and distribution, and expanding their empire through properties, businesses, and hiring staff.

Tyler, the Australian indie developer behind TVGS, expressed his astonishment at the game's explosive launch, stating, "I never expected this kind of response! At the moment, I’m just trying to stay focused and get patches out ASAP. I'm also eager to start on content updates once all major bugs are addressed."
