Valhalla Survival has just rolled out a major new update, introducing fresh gameplay systems and challenges. Lionheart Studio has officially integrated a Hero Ascension System into the experience. On top of that, a huge array of new battlefield items have been added.
The Hero Ascension System in Valhalla Survival allows you to enhance your heroes with Hero Shards. Every upgrade bolsters both the hero's general abilities and their class-specific skills. Plus, you get access to a second skill slot for equipping powerful abilities from other heroes.
Every upgrade attempt is guaranteed to be successful. Reaching certain ascension milestones grants cumulative passive bonuses. For those who achieve specific level thresholds, unique profile icons and frames are unlocked to showcase your dedication.
You can review the roster of heroes available for upgrade under the Hero Advancement tab. There, you can also get a preview of how each skill will evolve before finalizing the ascension process.
At the initial tier, the system improves hero skills and unlocks the additional skill slot. The second tier is concentrated on refining class skills. More advanced tiers are planned for future updates.
This feature lets you test out heroes you haven't unlocked yet. You do this by entering a special five-minute stage where monsters attack but don't actually cause damage.
During the trial, hero skills all have a standardized 10-second cooldown, and the hero is set to a specific level with predetermined gear. If the hero being trialled has any ascension effects, they will be active for the session.
In addition, three new treasure chest items have been introduced: Flames of Muspelheim, Footsteps of Loki, and Coin of Fate. Each offers a unique combat effect, ranging from offensive fire projection to a brief period of invincibility.
Furthermore, Nightmare Mode has been expanded with a challenging fifth chapter, designed for seasoned players seeking a tougher experience. If you haven't tried this hack-and-slash roguelike game yet, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
