Getting Started with Samsung Notes

To start using Samsung Notes, simply tap the + icon in the bottom right corner of the main screen to create a new note. These notes will be saved with the "sdocx" extension, ensuring compatibility and ease of use.

Protecting Your Notes

Security is paramount, and Samsung Notes allows you to safeguard your sensitive information:

1. On the main screen, tap "More Options" in the upper right corner, select "Settings," then choose "Lock Note."
2. Select your preferred note-locking method and set a password.
3. To lock individual notes, tap "More Options" on the note's screen and select "Lock Note."

Enhancing Your Notes

Samsung Notes offers a range of features to make your notes more engaging and personalized:

• Handwritten Notes: Tap the Handwriting icon to convert your handwriting directly onto the note, adding a personal touch.
• Adding Photos: Use the photo icon to capture or load images into your notes. You can also add tags and edit photos directly within the app.
• Voice Recordings: By tapping the Voice Recording icon, you can record audio and attach it to your notes, perfect for lectures or meetings.
• Writing Tools: Access a variety of writing tools by tapping the Pen icon. Choose from pens, fountain pens, pencils, highlighters, and customize colors and thicknesses. Use the Eraser icon to correct mistakes.

Importing and Syncing Notes

Samsung Notes makes it easy to import notes and memos from other apps and devices:

• Utilize the Smart Switch feature to import data from S Note and Memo saved on other devices.
• Sync your previously created notes and memos using your Samsung account, ensuring you never lose your important data.

Permissions and Privacy

To deliver the full range of services, Samsung Notes requires certain access permissions:

• Required Permissions: Storage access is necessary to save or load document files.
• Optional Permissions: These include access to photos and videos, notifications, music and audio, phone, microphone, and camera. These permissions enhance functionality but are not essential for basic use. You can opt out of these permissions and still use the core features of the app.
