A classic three-player card game played with a 24-card deck.
Current Game Agreements:
- Reach 880 points to earn a barrel.
- Points are cleared after 3 unsuccessful attempts to play a barrel.
- Receive a bolt for scoring zero points in a round.
- A 120-point penalty is applied for accumulating 3 bolts.
- If a player surrenders, they incur a penalty equal to the stake, and each remaining player receives half that amount.
Supported Game Settings:
- Win by reaching over 1000 points.
- Points are cleared upon reaching exactly 555 or -555 points.
- Play a barrel on your own turn without other players bidding (see below).
- Redistribute cards if the talon or a hand falls below a certain point threshold.
- Ace marriage scoring.
- Golden round scoring.
- Joint barrel play scenarios.
Playing a Barrel on Your "Own Turn":
A player may initiate a barrel round upon reaching 880 points during their "own turn".
A turn is "own" when the player holds the first right to bid.
In this case, the player automatically wins the bidding and takes the talon (regardless of other players' card strength).
An unsuccessful play results in a penalty of 120 points and counts as one failed attempt.
Points are cleared after 3 failed attempts.
If a player has a barrel but not the "own turn", play proceeds normally; however, the player scores no points and unsuccessful attempts are not recorded.
Multiple players with 880 points may simultaneously be eligible for a barrel game.
Therefore, in such cases, the player to attempt the barrel is determined by turn order.
