DownloadTute Cabrero is a beloved card game that has gained widespread popularity across South America. Played by 3 to 5 players, it's an every-player-for-themselves style game—no teams involved.
The main goal in Tute Cabrero is to either accumulate the most points or, depending on the agreed variation, the fewest points. The second-place finisher is considered the loser. The game is played using a standard deck of 40 Spanish playing cards.
Card rankings, from highest to lowest, are as follows: Ace (worth 11 points), 3 (10 points), King (4 points), Knight (3 points), Jack (2 points), followed by the 7, 6, 5, 4, and 2—all of which carry no point value.
During gameplay, the first card played in a trick sets the leading suit, and all other players must follow suit if possible. If a player lacks cards of the leading suit, they may play any available card. Any trump card played will win the trick. In the absence of trumps, the highest card of the leading suit wins the round.
