The first set includes 6 vowel sounds: A, O, U, Y, I, E, followed by 4 vowel letters formed by combining two sounds: E = Y + O; E = Y + E; Yu = Y + U; Ya = Y + A. Vowels can also be categorized as stressed or unstressed.

Next, introduce the consonants: B, V, G, D, ZH, Z, J, K, L, M, N, P, R, S, T, F, X, Ts, Ch, Sh, Shch (21 in total), along with the two auxiliary letters Ъ and Ь. The Russian alphabet comprises 33 letters in total.
