HEXANAUT GAME GUIDE
Control your movement using the mouse. Leave your owned area to draw a boundary and claim new terrain. Once you reconnect with your territory, the enclosed region becomes yours.
Venturing outside your zone carries risk. If an opponent crosses your path, you’ll lose your progress and need to restart.
Aim to control 20% of the map to earn the Hexanaut title. Maintain this area for two minutes after becoming a Hexanaut to secure victory!
Note: If you're eliminated while another player holds the Hexanaut status, you cannot re-enter the match.
CAPTURE TOTEMS
Hexanaut.io features five distinct totems to capture. Secure them whenever possible—each provides unique advantages to boost your chances of winning.
SPREADING TOTEM
The Spreading Totem directly captures hex tiles for you. Once taken, it emits lasers that claim adjacent tiles one by one. Ideal during early stages when securing land is challenging.
SPEED TOTEM
The Speed Totem raises your movement speed by 5%. Even though it seems modest, stacking multiple totems creates a real advantage. Prioritize them to gain an edge.
TELEPORTING GATE
Teleporting Gates offer instant travel across the map. They’re perfect for quickly navigating large territories or surprising foes. Catch aggressive players off-guard by appearing suddenly where they least expect you.
SLOWING TOTEM
The Slowing Totem creates a zone that drastically reduces other players’ movement—like a spiderweb. Use this to trap and eliminate anyone who enters. Steer clear of enemy slow zones to avoid the disadvantage.
SPY DISH
The Spy Dish reveals all enemy territories. This becomes essential once you control significant land. It highlights where rivals are attacking, letting you prioritize defense.
