It seems a potential leak has surfaced regarding one of the upcoming PlayStation Plus free games for May 2025.
Although Sony has not officially announced anything at this time, whispers within the gaming community suggest that Until Dawn could be available as a complimentary title for PlayStation users next month. While the promotional artwork appears to point toward Until Dawn Remastered rather than the original 2014 release, the distinction isn’t entirely confirmed. We’ll update you with full details as soon as more information becomes available.
PlayStation Plus is Sony’s premier online service for PlayStation platforms, offering members access to a variety of perks such as free monthly games, exclusive discounts, limited-time game trials, and online multiplayer features. Higher-tier subscriptions—like PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium—also unlock access to a vast library of hundreds of classic and modern titles. However, the monthly free games remain accessible to all PlayStation Plus subscribers, regardless of their membership level.

Interestingly, the 2024 remaster of the game also received a similar score—5/10—where IGN remarked in its review that the remaster felt "overpriced and under-featured," likening it to "daylight robbery." In contrast, Supermassive Games’ original 2015 version fared better, earning a respectable 7.5/10 from our reviewers. In other PlayStation Plus news, [ttpp] warns that 22 titles are reportedly scheduled to exit the PlayStation Plus catalog next month. Among them are high-profile entries like Grand Theft Auto 5 and Payday 2: Crimewave Edition. Additionally, the final playable versions of iconic first-party titles Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2 will also be removed. Once they're gone, these two titles will no longer be playable on modern PlayStation consoles.
