Two exciting Pokémon from the Galar region are making their debut in Pokémon Go this month, promising both sweetness and intensity. The Sweet Discoveries event, running from April 24th to 29th, introduces the adorable Dragon/Grass-type Applin. To evolve Applin, you'll need 200 Applin Candy and 20 apples. Using a Tart Apple will evolve Applin into Flapple, while a Sweet Apple will result in Appletun. These apples can be found in the wild, especially near Mossy Lures, and might even trigger Applin encounters.
During Sweet Discoveries, you'll encounter wild spawns like Bounsweet, Skwovet, and Delibird. Field Research and Eggs will also offer chances to catch themed Pokémon such as Munchlax and Cherubi. Timed Research, available in both free and paid versions, will provide Sweet and Tart Apples. The paid option includes extra Mossy Lure Modules and additional Applin encounters.
Be sure to check out the Applin Headband and Apron in the shop and participate in PokéStop Showcases featuring themed Pokémon. If you're more interested in power than cuteness, mark your calendar for the Max Battle Weekend on April 26th-27th, where Dynamax Entei will make its fiery debut. You might even encounter a Shiny Entei if luck is on your side.

The event bonuses include an increased Max Particle cap, reduced distance needed to collect them, and faster Power Spot refresh rates. You'll earn eight times more Max Particles from each Power Spot visited. Leading up to the event, a free Timed Research starts on April 21st, rewarding you with a Dynamax Sobble to help counter Entei's heat.
