Assassin’s Creed’s Ezio is Ubisoft Japan’s Most Popular Character

Ezio Auditore da Firenze, the iconic Assassin's Creed protagonist, has emerged victorious in Ubisoft Japan's Character Awards, a celebratory event marking the company's three decades of success. The online poll, running from November 1st, 2024, allowed fans to vote for their top three favorite characters across Ubisoft's extensive game library.

The results, announced on Ubisoft Japan's official website and X (formerly Twitter), reveal Ezio as the overwhelming favorite. To celebrate this milestone, a dedicated webpage features Ezio in a unique artistic style, along with four free downloadable wallpapers (PC and mobile). Furthermore, a lottery will award 30 lucky participants an Ezio acrylic stand set, and 10 will win a massive 180cm Ezio body pillow!

Beyond Ezio's triumph, the top ten characters were revealed, showcasing a diverse range of beloved Ubisoft heroes and villains. Aiden Pearce (Watch Dogs) secured second place, followed by Edward Kenway (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag).

  • 1st: Ezio Auditore da Firenze (Assassin's Creed II, Brotherhood, Liberation)
  • 2nd: Aiden Pearce (Watch Dogs)
  • 3rd: Edward James Kenway (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag)
  • 4th: Bayek (Assassin's Creed Origins)
  • 5th: Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad (Assassin's Creed)
  • 6th: Wrench (Watch Dogs)
  • 7th: Pagan Min (Far Cry)
  • 8th: Eivor Varinsdottir (Assassin's Creed Valhalla)
  • 9th: Kassandra (Assassin's Creed Odyssey)
  • 10th: Aaron Keener (The Division 2)

In a parallel poll, Assassin's Creed also claimed the top spot for most popular game franchise, outperforming Rainbow Six Siege and Watch Dogs. The Division and Far Cry followed in fourth and fifth place respectively.
