Baldur’s Gate 3 Dev Larian Wants Your Help Testing Patch 8

Larian Studios announced a January launch for the Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 stress test, accessible via Steam on PC and consoles (Xbox and PlayStation). Mac and GOG users will not have access. Registration is now open.

Larian plans extensive testing to identify and address any instability or gameplay issues before the official release. They're particularly focused on cross-play functionality, describing its implementation as a significant undertaking and inviting player participation to help test this new feature. Players are encouraged to recruit friends or join groups via the Larian Studios Discord server for collaborative stress testing.

While Patch 8 marks the final major update, Larian confirmed continued support for modders, promising substantial future updates to enhance modding capabilities and facilitate richer player-created content. Since September's release of official modding tools, the community has already downloaded over 70 million modules and uploaded over 3,000 mods.
