After a long wait, EA is finally set to officially unveil its next Battlefield title in full. The game appears to be named Battlefield 6, with its debut trailer scheduled for release this week on July 24 at 8 AM Pacific Time.
This information comes from a scheduled live stream listed on the official Battlefield YouTube channel for the specified date and time. Although the listing doesn’t include many details, it does feature official artwork depicting four soldiers surveying a large-scale battle in a cityscape, complete with naval vessels, helicopters, aircraft, and more.
Fans have been anticipating Battlefield 6 for quite some time. The game was first mentioned as far back as 2021, essentially as EA's reassurance that the Battlefield series would continue after Battlefield 2042. Since then, we’ve seen an early piece of concept art and received confirmation that the game will adopt a modern-day setting.
Although Battlefield 6 is currently slated to launch before the end of the current fiscal year, by March 2026, EA CEO Andrew Wilson has indicated that the release date could shift depending on the launch schedules of competing titles like GTA 6.
In recent months, leaked footage from several closed playtests has surfaced online, offering glimpses of the modern combat environment, various firefight scenarios, destructible structures, quality-of-life upgrades, and the beginning of a battle royale match.
It’s been a challenging year for EA, which has conducted multiple rounds of layoffs, enforced a controversial return-to-office policy, and canceled both upcoming projects—such as Cliffhanger's Black Panther—and existing live service titles like Anthem.
