  • Exploit Weaknesses: Rey Dau, a lightning-element dragon, is immune to lightning attacks. However, it's vulnerable to ice and water-based attacks. Prioritize its head (4-star weakness) and wings (3-star weakness). Avoid its torso and legs, which offer superior protection.

  • Utilize Status Effects: Employ poison, sleep, blastblight, and exhaust. Stun and paralysis are ineffective.

  • Strategic Item Usage: Flash Pods temporarily stun Rey Dau, creating openings for significant damage, especially to its glowing red horns (visible in Focus Mode). Pitfall Traps are crucial for capturing it.

  • Elemental Resistance: Equip gear that enhances elemental resistance, such as the Hope Armor set with its Divine Blessing skill. Consider consuming food buffs to further boost resistance.

  • Environmental Awareness: In the Windward Plains, utilize Vine Traps on the lone tree to briefly immobilize Rey Dau. However, exercise caution near its nest, as it possesses a powerful follow-up lightning attack.

  • Optimal Positioning: Staying near Rey Dau's legs minimizes exposure to its attacks, as it primarily targets areas in front and behind it.

To capture Rey Dau, reduce its health to critical levels (indicated by a skull icon on the minimap). Deploy a Pitfall Trap, followed by a Tranquilizer, within the limited timeframe. Shock Traps are ineffective against this lightning dragon.
