After months of speculation and leaks, Bethesda is poised to officially unveil the remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion tomorrow. The announcement is scheduled for 11:00 am EST and will be streamed live on both YouTube and Twitch.
In a recent post on Twitter/X, Bethesda teased the announcement with an image featuring a prominent "IV" and a background reminiscent of iconic Oblivion artwork, hinting strongly at the game's identity.
Rumors of an Oblivion remake have circulated for years, gaining momentum with leaks. Initially, a 2020 Bethesda release schedule, revealed during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, suggested an Oblivion remaster was planned for fiscal year 2022. Although that window has passed, the project's status remained uncertain until January of this year when new leaks emerged. These leaks indicated that Bethesda, with assistance from Virtuos, was working on a full-blown remake. Last week, further leaks from Virtuos' website, including in-game images, seemed to confirm these reports.
If these recent leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered will be released on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. The game will also feature a Deluxe Edition, which includes the iconic horse armor, in addition to the standard version.
Stay tuned for tomorrow's announcement to get official confirmation and more detailed information on this highly anticipated remaster.
