Calico Nerfed, Sinclair Reworked: Deadlock Update

Valve has released another surprise update for Deadlock, this time focusing on a smaller set of changes affecting four heroes. Calico received a substantial nerf: her Return to Shadows ability now has a ten-second longer cooldown, with 20% of its speed shifted to Tier 2. Additionally, the damage of her Tier 2 Leaping Slash was reduced.

Sinclair's update includes improved sounds and animations, and a significant rework of his Rabbit Hex ability, transforming it into an area-of-effect (AoE) power. Holliday and Wraith also saw nerfs in this update.

Several item adjustments were also implemented. Ammo Scavenger now provides fewer stacks and eliminates the health bonus. Furthermore, Extra Stamina and Restorative Shot no longer offer bonuses to fire rate and weapon damage respectively.

This marks the fifth Deadlock update of 2025, and the first for February. Reflecting a shift in development strategy, Valve is now releasing updates on an as-needed basis, rather than adhering to a fixed schedule. This update is a prime example of that flexible approach.
