Call of Duty: Warzone Glitch Allows Players to Equip Old Camos on Black Ops 6 Weapons

Summary

  • A new glitch in Warzone allows players to use Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) camos on Black Ops 6 (BO6) weapons.
  • The glitch requires a friend's help and specific steps in a private match of Warzone.
  • This unofficial method may be patched in future updates.

In the ever-evolving world of Call of Duty: Warzone, players are constantly seeking new ways to enhance their gameplay experience. A recent discovery has sparked excitement among fans—a glitch that allows the use of camos from 2023's Modern Warfare 3 on Black Ops 6 weapons. This crossover, while not officially supported, offers a fresh way to showcase hard-earned camos that would otherwise go unused in Warzone since the introduction of Black Ops 6.

For those dedicated to the grind, Black Ops 6 offers a range of epic mastery camos, from gold and diamond to the coveted dark matter, all earned through challenging in-game tasks. Players have invested countless hours achieving headshots and completing other feats to unlock these prestigious designs. However, with the shift to Black Ops 6 weapons in Warzone's meta, MW3 camos have been left behind—until now.

Call of Duty: Warzone Player Discovers New Camo Glitch

A Warzone player, known as BSPGamin on Twitter, has unveiled a method to equip MW3 camos on BO6 weapons, as reported by Dexerto. This innovative yet unofficial approach could potentially be short-lived, as developers Treyarch Studios and Raven Software are likely to address this glitch in upcoming updates.

To execute this glitch, players need a friend's assistance and must follow these steps in a private Warzone match:

  1. Start with a BO6 weapon: Equip a Black Ops 6 weapon in the first loadout slot and join a friend's lobby.
  2. Switch to an MW3 weapon: Equip a Modern Warfare 3 weapon in the first loadout slot, and repeatedly select the desired camo.
  3. Host switches to private match: While spamming the camo selection, the host must switch to a private match.
  4. Friend exits and re-enters: The friend must leave the private match, and the player should continue spamming the camo selection on the weapon while the friend rejoins another private match.

Upon completing these steps, the selected MW3 camo should appear on the BO6 weapon, ready for use in Warzone.

For players still working towards unlocking all the mastery camos in Black Ops 6, there's good news on the horizon. Treyarch has announced plans to reintroduce a challenge tracking feature in a future update, a much-requested tool that was last seen in Modern Warfare 3. This feature will help players keep track of their progress towards those coveted camos, making the grind more manageable and rewarding.

While the camo glitch offers a temporary solution for showcasing MW3 designs on BO6 weapons, players should enjoy it while it lasts, as it may soon be patched. In the meantime, the community eagerly awaits the return of challenge tracking, which promises to enhance the overall Call of Duty: Warzone experience.
