Finnish game studio Kuuasema has unveiled Cthulhu Keeper, a darkly humorous strategy game drawing inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft's works and the iconic 1997 title Dungeon Keeper. Currently in development for PC, the game promises a unique blend of classic dungeon-management and Lovecraftian horror.
Players will cultivate their own sinister cult, spreading fear and chaos throughout the 1920s setting. Building a sprawling lair and researching arcane rituals are key to summoning a host of Lovecraftian-inspired monsters. Expansion involves recruiting cultists, engaging in street-level recruitment, and completing objectives. However, rival cults and the authorities pose significant threats, necessitating the strategic deployment of traps and spells to defend the lair.
