In *MLB The Show 25*, sometimes the grass really is greener on the other side. San Diego Studio's baseball game allows you to experience a fresh start by demanding a trade in the Road to the Show mode. Here’s how you can switch teams and explore new opportunities in the big leagues.
After wrapping up your high school career in *MLB The Show 25* Road to the Show, you face a crucial decision: head to college to refine your skills or dive straight into the pros with the team that drafted you. No matter your choice, you can ultimately decide which team you'll join in the major leagues, setting the stage for your future. Yet, the dynamic nature of professional sports means a change of scenery can be refreshing and beneficial.
In previous versions of Road to the Show, players could request a trade once they reached the majors. However, *MLB The Show 25* has changed this, removing the direct option to ask for a transfer. Thankfully, there's a clever workaround to get you to a new team faster.
In the Sliders section of the Road to the Show settings, you'll find an option called “Trade Frequency.” This setting controls how often trades occur within the mode. By sliding it all the way to the right, you increase the likelihood of players, including yourself, being traded. Keep in mind, though, that other teams need to take notice of you before they'll make an offer.
As your reputation grows around the league, your agent will keep you informed. Eventually, trade offers will start coming in. Take your time to choose the best destination, but remember, there's no guarantee that teams will keep reaching out. Once you've settled on a team, make the move and, after arriving at your new clubhouse, adjust the Trade Frequency slider back to a lower setting to avoid further trade requests.
That’s how you can demand a trade in *MLB The Show 25* Road to the Show. For more tips, check out the best pitching settings for the game.
