Nintendo launches its San Francisco store today, May 15, in Union Square at 331 Powell Street. Nintendo San Francisco marks the second official U.S. store for the company, following the popular Nintendo NY, previously known as the Nintendo World Store, which underwent renovations and rebranding before reopening in 2016.
IGN visited the San Francisco location to explore what Nintendo has in store. We also spoke with Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser to discuss the significance of opening the company’s first West Coast store at this time.

Naturally, we dove into details about the Nintendo Switch 2, set to release on June 5. We asked Bowser about its U.S. availability at launch and beyond, the debated Game-Key Cards, and much more.
