Bandai Namco has started sending out emails to participants for the closed testing of Elden Ring Nightreign, scheduled from February 14–17, 2025. This exciting opportunity allows players to be among the first to experience the game, which is designed for three-person cooperative play, as confirmed in the official correspondence.
However, due to the high anticipation surrounding Nightreign, scammers are exploiting this excitement by circulating fraudulent testing invitations. Several players have reported receiving emails that mimic official notifications from Bandai Namco, supposedly inviting them to participate in the testing. These deceptive emails include links leading to counterfeit websites that closely resemble Steam.

These fraudulent sites prompt users to log in, resulting in the loss of access to their accounts. In some instances, victims have received similar scam messages from their own friends' compromised accounts. Fortunately, some affected users were able to recover their accounts with the help of Steam support.
It is crucial to exercise caution with any links received and to verify the authenticity of the sources. If in doubt, always refer to official channels and avoid clicking on suspicious links.
In other news related to Elden Ring: Nightreign, project director Junya Ishizaki announced in an interview that the traditional messaging feature found in FromSoftware games will not be available in Nightreign. Ishizaki explained that the decision was made because the game sessions, lasting approximately forty minutes, do not provide enough time for players to send or read messages.
