Timed Exclusivity Expected:

A March 6, 2024 report from the Washington Post suggests PlayStation secured timed exclusivity for the entire FF7 Remake trilogy. Given the release patterns of previous games – one year for FF7 Remake on PS4, six months for FF7 Remake Intergrade on PS5, and a similar timed exclusivity for FF7 Rebirth – a similar PS5 exclusive period is anticipated for Part 3 before its release on other platforms.

In response, the company announced a shift towards a more aggressive multi-platform strategy, encompassing Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms. This strategic move aims to boost sales and potentially broaden the reach of future titles, including potential releases on Xbox and Switch 2.
