The Animal Festival, like other seasonal events in *Fields of Mistria*, occurs annually. Miss it one year? No worries! You can participate the following year. It begins on the 10th day of Winter, giving you plenty of time to prepare your animals.

Winning the Animal Festival

The main event lets you enter up to two animals: one small (chickens, ducks, rabbits, etc.) and one large (cows, alpacas, sheep, etc.). Remember, they must be fully grown adults to compete.

Entering the Contest

Head to the festival grounds and speak to Josephine. She'll guide you to the entry booths. Terithia (left booth) handles large animals, and Landen (right booth) takes care of small animals. A menu will appear, showing your eligible animals.

Josephine offers valuable tips: Animals with more hearts (increased by petting, feeding, and outdoor time) score higher. Rare coat colors also boost your score!

Once you've chosen your animals, tell Josephine you're ready, and the judging begins!

Prizes

A cutscene reveals the winners for both small and large animals. Winning against Hayden's Henrietta (chicken) and Sunshine (cow) earns you top prize! Your rewards depend on your placement. Note that winning during your first year might be challenging, requiring significant animal care and farm upgrades to unlock rare animals and coat colors.
