Fortnite's Next Season: "Wanted" – Heists, Mortal Kombat, and Smart Building

Epic Games has unveiled the Battle Pass skins for Fortnite's upcoming season, aptly titled "Wanted." This heist-themed season promises high-octane action featuring armed villains, gold-laden vehicles, and explosive bank vaults.

Breaking from previous season naming conventions, "Wanted" dives straight into the action. The season kicks off February 21st and includes a thrilling collaboration with the Mortal Kombat franchise. Sub-Zero will be a featured Battle Pass skin, perfectly complementing the season's robbery theme.

This crossover cleverly promotes the upcoming Mortal Kombat 2 film, starring Karl Urban as Johnny Cage and Adeline Rudolph as Kitana.

Skins will be available for purchase using V-Bucks, priced at the standard 1,500 V-Bucks each.

Returning weaponry includes the Flare Gun, C4, and the Diplomat turret. While other weapons remain unannounced, speculation based on Chapter 4 Season 4's heist theme suggests potential returns for the EMP Grenade, classic SMGs, the Tommy Gun, and even the Grappler. These, however, are currently unconfirmed.

A highly anticipated addition is the Smart Building mechanic, intelligently predicting and constructing structures based on your aiming direction.

The heist theme extends to gameplay mechanics, replacing keycards with vault breaches. Players will need Meltanite, a thermite-like substance, to access these vaults and their rewards.
