Diablo IV's Season of the Witchcraft introduces exciting new content, but mastering it requires acquiring a rare resource: Fugitive Heads. This guide explains how to obtain them in Diablo 4 Season 7.

What Are Fugitive Heads in Diablo 4 Season 7?

Season 7's Witchcraft Powers offer unique gameplay, but their full potential relies on Occult Gems. These gems boast impressive stats (160 Armor and 8% Resist All), but crafting them is challenging. You need Fugitive Heads to begin crafting Occult Gems with Gelena at the Tree of Whispers. Each Occult Gem requires at least one Fugitive Head, 1,000 Restless Rot, and 50,000 Gem Fragments. Therefore, efficiently acquiring Fugitive Heads is crucial.

Obtaining Fugitive Heads requires completing Whisper bounties in Headhunt zones—new areas introduced in Season 7. After completing a bounty, there's a chance an Uprooted Cocoon will appear. Defeating the Headrotten Boss that emerges from the cocoon *sometimes* yields a Fugitive Head. This process relies on a degree of luck.

To improve your chances, use the Draught of Whispers Elixir (obtained from Exposed Roots, Whispers Cache, and Coven’s Cache). This elixir boosts the Fugitive Head spawn rate by 50% and increases the likelihood of Forgotten Altars appearing.

Finally, difficulty matters. The Fugitive Head spawn rate is extremely low below Torment difficulty. While challenging, playing on Torment significantly increases your chances. With Season 7 lasting until April, casual players have ample time to master Torment difficulty and collect Fugitive Heads.
