According to a Release Date Trailer from GameSpot's official YouTube channel, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will launch on August 28th, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The trailer, also featured on the game's PlayStation Store page, highlights the stunning visual upgrades in this highly anticipated remake.
While Konami hasn't officially announced the release date on their social media channels, fans can now rest assured that after nearly two years of waiting, the remake is confirmed for an August release.

First unveiled during the PlayStation Showcase in May 2023, the game was originally targeting a 2024 release. Instead, it featured gameplay trailers during both the Xbox Games Showcase and Tokyo Game Show.
As explained on the official Metal Gear X (Twitter) account, the remake stays true to the original Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, preserving its core gameplay and original voice performances. This fidelity is reflected in its Delta title. "The Delta symbol (Δ) was chosen because it represents 'change' or 'difference' without altering the fundamental structure," the account noted in a May 2023 post.

The trailer concluded with a surprising reveal—an appearance by an ape from the classic PlayStation franchise, Ape Escape. The primate pops up from behind a log, taunts the viewer, and scurries away. While specific details about this crossover remain unclear, the trailer hints at more collaborations to come, ending with the tease, "And more…"
